Welcome to Camp ASCCA!

Camp ASCCA is Alabama's Special Camp for Children and Adults. It is a nationally recognized leader that provides therapeutic recreation for children and adults with both physical and mental disabilities. Providing weekend and week long sessions, Camp ASCCA is open year-round.

First Time Campers, Alex and McCartney

McCartney Hagar will be starting first grade this fall and is so excited to be starting to school. img_6007webBefore school begins, she decided to visit Camp ASCCA, and everyone here is so glad she did! Although McCartney was a little nervous on her first day, she says that she has had a ball! Alex Moses says he was also a little nervous on check-in day, but he describes his time here at Camp img_5731webASCCA as “awesome!” He has taken full advantage of the many outdoor adventure activities that Camp ASCCA has to offer, and says they are his favorite activities.

Both of these kids, along with all the new campers, have been a joy to have at camp this week. With their bright and adventurous personalities, they have made strong impressions on everyone! Much to our delight, they promise that they do plan to return to Camp ASCCA next year, and we look forward to seeing them again!
