Matt Shaw :: “It’s the greatest time in the world”

Giddyup! Teen week campers sure are enjoying the chance to be cowboys and cowgirls at horseback this week.

I was able to catch up with Matt Shaw, a returning camper, today while he was at horseback. When I spoke with him, Matt told me that he hadn’t ridden a horse since kindergarten until he came to camp.

This is Matt’s 8th summer at Camp ASCCA, and he plans on coming back as long as his parents will let him. Matt’s favorite activity is the zipline because it is so fast and high in the trees.

He thinks the people are what makes Camp ASCCA so special. Matt enjoys the relationships he builds with both the campers and counselors. He said that the campers form strong bonds because they share a common background.
