The 2nd Annual Competition for Campers was held on April 22, 2011. The event is hosted by the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity at UAB.
The highlight of the event was a wing-eating competion where members of UAB sororities competed against each other. The fraternity also hosted a silent auction and a raffle ticket give-away.
Donors giving $250+ were listed on the “big banner” and included: Buffalo Wild Wings, Joshua Powell, Loretta Aultman, Cindy Rexrode, Alpha Gamma Delta, Gamma Omega Chapter, Hall-Taylor Construction, Simon-Williamson Clinic, and The Sanctuary of Savannah.
Event organizer Elliott Jones stopped by and presented Camp ASCCA with the over $3,200 in cash donations and two rods and reels from Mark’s Outdoor Sports of Birmingham!
