Today marks the last day of Session 1, and we had a wonderful week.
Throughout the session, we were able to watch campers and counselors grow friendships from nothing to something so special. Counselors eagerly awaited the time to meet their first campers of the summer in the beginning of the week. Now, they wish time could slow down and our time together could remain.
On Monday and Tuesday, Camp held two talent shows that allowed campers to show us their true selves with no filters. Program rotations and free choice activities showed us their bravery, resilience and boldness in life. The dance Wednesday helped us feel their unconditional love, and the concert Thursday cemented the bonds created in both our minds and hearts.
As we check out campers today, we will say goodbye for now, but not forever. We will see them in our dreams, and remember the great memories built together. Session 1 may be closing, but Session 2 is on the way! Follow along to see the journey of our 50th ASCCA summer.
