This summer has been a season of firsts and friendships at Camp, and no story embodies this more than that of counselor, Elleigh Layton, and CIT (Counselor-In-Training), Lawson Cofield. Elleigh, who is experiencing her first summer as a counselor, has been paired with Lawson, a CIT who is in her third week of helping out and training here at Camp.
Elleigh and Lawson have formed a remarkable bond that has not only enhanced their own camp experience but has also positively impacted the campers and staff they work with. Elleigh has expressed her appreciation for Lawson’s unwavering dedication and the energetic spirit she brings to the group. “I not only love Lawson for the help and dedication she gives to the campers, but I have loved having her fun energy and sweet friendship all week,” Elleigh shared.
These two outgoing and loving spirits have brought an infectious joy to the camp. Their laughter, enthusiasm, and genuine care for everyone around them have made a significant difference in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their joy is contagious, spreading to campers and staff members and making each day brighter and more enjoyable.
Their partnership is a testament to the meaningful connections and lifelong friendships that are often forged at camp. Together, they have created a fun and joyful environment for their campers, embodying the true spirit of teamwork and friendship. As they continue to support each other and their campers, Elleigh and Lawson remind us all of the beautiful bonds that can be formed in just a short time, making this summer one to remember.
