Camp ASCCA was recently invited to visit Buster Miles Chevrolet to receive a special donation towards the ASCCA Campership Fund. Today, Director of Marketing and Communications Dana Rickman made the trip and spent time with members of the Buster Miles staff and The Heart of Dixie Chevelle Club. Dana was also joined by an ASCCA camper, Shaun Thompson, whose father is a member of The Heart of Dixie Chevelle Club. Each year, the club holds a big car show in the Buster Miles lot, and a portion of the proceeds are given to Camp ASCCA each year.
This year, Camp ASCCA received a donation total of $700. The Heart of Dixie Chevelle Club contributed $500, and Buster Miles Chevrolet gave $100. The final $100 was a personal contribution from Buster Miles General Manager Hope Miles. This donation will go towards the ASCCA Campership Fund that will help a camper in need of financial support attend Camp next summer. The local Oxford organization, A League of Our Own, was also present to receive a donation that will support their efforts of providing children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball.
