Tuesday night was one for the books at Camp ASCCA, as our annual prom brought magic, joy, and unforgettable memories to campers and staff. This event is something our campers eagerly anticipate all year long, and it never fails to deliver an extraordinary experience
The day kicked off with our traditional girl’s day and boy’s day. All the girls indulged in a delightful morning of pampering activities, from getting their hair and nails done, face masks and skincare, High School Musical movies, to choosing the perfect dress. The boys enjoyed their own special day with video games and all things sports at the Back 4T before preparing for the big night. The excitement grew as everyone anticipated the evening ahead.
Camp turned into a dazzling prom venue throughout the day. The dinning hall sparkled and the dance floor was decked out. Campers and staff were dressed in their finest attire, everyone wearing what made them feel the most beautiful, they were ready to dance the night away. Music filled the air as everyone paired up with their dates ready to take prom pictures. One of the highlights of the evening was the prom pictures, capturing the joy and elegance of each camper. We had photos on top of the boat house, and at our prom photo booth, these photos cherished as keepsakes, preserving the magic of the night for years to come.
The dance floor was alive with energy as campers and staff grooved to the beats, shared laughter, and created memories that will last a lifetime. We enjoyed refreshments and music as everyone anticipated the big announcement of the prom king and queen. This year, Jason Davis and Deason Peevy were crowned, and the room erupted in cheers as they took their places on the dance floor. Their first dance together was a magical moment, with everyone surrounding them and celebrating their well deserved titles.
Prom night is always a special event for the campers, creating a sense of unity and joy that makes everyone feel celebrated, cherished, and beautiful. The laughter, dancing, and shared memories make it a night to remember for years to come. The sense of community and friendship was stronger than ever, reminding us all why Camp ASCCA is such a special place. Prom night is a night where everyone shines and feels like the star they truly are. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year.
