Last night was a usual Tuesday night here at Camp ASCCA. It was the night of our talent show! Since yesterday morning, campers had been talking about how excited they were for the talent show and what they would be performing for everyone. The talent shows are always one of the favorite things the campers like to do, but this week the campers of Session 7 really brought the talent.
After a long hot day, it is fun to sit around and enjoy the performances that are put on by the campers. The Camp ASCCA talent show is the perfect time for campers to show off their talent to their fellow campers and friends in attendance. The talent show is optional and some campers choose not to do it, but they still enjoy their time singing and dancing along to the music. Another thing that makes the talent show special is everyone gets a snow cone, and who doesn’t love a cold snow cone after a hot day?
As always, there is a lot of singing done at our talent shows, but last night we had one camper who came up on stage and played his banjo for us all. It was wonderful! We also had a new song last night. One camper from the Alabama Head Injury Foundation performed an original song about her sister and her love for Camp ASCCA. It was a special way to end a special night!
