While speaking for the Haleyville Civitan Club a few weeks ago, I met a member of the Addison Civitan Club, Shirley Suddeth. At that time Shirley was planning for one of Addison’s biggest days of the year, the Pat Buttram Day Festival. Shirley wanted me to speak for the festival this year but I was already booked. So, she locked me in for next year!
On October 8, I was pleased to visit the Civitan Club who not only hosts the annual festival but also works to improve their community throughout the year. The Addison Civitan Club may be small but they work hard for the betterment of their town. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture. I apologize but there will be more opportunities in the future.
