Afternoon Fun with Push America

Counselors and program staff are not the only ones showing campers a great time at free choice activities!

On Wednesday afternoon, representatives from Push America stopped by and joined in on the afternoon programs such as putt-putt, bocce ball, and splash pad. They also sticked around for dinner, eating and conversing with campers.

Push America is an non-profit organization that promotes disability awareness and serves people with disabilites; it is the national philantrophy of Phi Kappa Phi. Their stop at Camp ASCCA is a part of the Journey of Hope, where they cycle across the USA while promoting and fundraising for disability awareness. During the trek from the West Coast to Washington, DC, they also visit local organizations that supports the people with disabilities.

Below is a brief video clip of Push America members having fun with campers at the putt-putt course. The clip is also posted on Youtube.

Pictures from the afternoon free-choice activities, along with other pictures from Session Four, are now posted on Camp ASCCA’s Flickr page.
