Ain’t No Party like an ASCCA Pool Party!

Campers from Cheaha, Choctaw, Crow, Moundville, Cherokee, and Davis cabins splashed into the first night of Session 4 at tonight’s pool party! They enjoyed floating around with their fellow campers and watching the sun set.

Before the fun began campers went through swim tests conducted by our various lifeguards on staff! They have to swim from one side of the pool to the other, without stopping, then receive a wristband indicating they don’t need a lifejacket. However, if the camper chooses to not take the swim test or doesn’t pass, they’re required to wear a lifejacket when enjoying their time at the pool!

Other than swimming, other activities campers enjoy doing in the pool include pool basketball, lounging on the floats and even some pool volleyball. A lot of them just enjoy hanging out with their counselors and splashing around with them. It gives them the opportunity to have a little more one on one time and chit chat about what activities they have for the next day and so forth.

Tomorrow, the other campers and counselors will have their pool party and this group will make Soul Stones with Girl Scout Troop 7282 from Auburn, Alabama! Be on the look out for all the Session 4 excitement coming this week on Flickr,Facebook, Twitter,Instagram and right here on our website!
