Alabama Elks Association Donates $50,000 to Camp at Annual Convention

The Alabama Elks Association has played in integral part in the expansion and improvements of Camp ASCCA over the years. Since 2010, the AEA has given generously to a variety of projects like major cabin and lodge renovations, camper weekends, and much more. This year, on June 3, 2017, Camp Administrator John Stephenson and Director of Marketing and Communications Dana Rickman attended the Alabama Elks Association Annual Convention at the Marriot Hotel in Huntsville, Alabama.

At the convention, John provided an update on all of the new activities and updates at Camp, and he also thanked the members for their continued annual support. The Elks State Leadership then presented John with a donation for $50,000 that will support the new OutPost, pool repairs, and accessible paths.

Every summer, we hold an Elks Day that allows Elks members from around the state to visit Camp, receive a morning tour of the campus, and meet some of the incredible people that attend each session. We then offer, a lunch at Noon in the Camp dining hall. This year’s Elks Day is July 26, 2017, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
