On Tuesday, November 19th, 2013, Dana Rickman visited the Alex City Recycling Center for their annual donation meeting. Sixteen area agencies were in attendance and received a total of $8,425. Camp ASCCA was presented with a donation for $300 to be used for the Campership Fund. Most of the campers applying to attend summer camp request full or partial sponsorship in paying their session fee.
The Alexander City Recycling Center, located near the airport, welcomes newspaper and aluminum can donations. The volunteers help with drop offs at the Center each Thursday morning. For 24-hour drop offs, there is a bin at the side of the building. For more information about this volunteer organization, call 256 234-0347.
