Alexander City Civitans make a difference!

Civitan’s Mission Statement
The mission of Civitan worldwide is to build good citizenship
by providing a volunteer organization of clubs
dedicated to serving individual and community needs
with an emphasis on helping people with developmental
disabilities.

The Alexander City Civitan Club made a generous donation to Camp ASCCA last night. The club has supported Camp ASCCA and our mission of providing therapeutic recreation to children and adults with disabilities for many, many years.

John Stephenson and Dana Rickman attended the Club’s annual Installation and Awards Banquet where donations were given to several community organizations and the new Club officers were installed.

The Alexander City Civitan Club has in the past supported our Dadeville Campus until it was destroyed by the April 2011 tornado. Now, the Club continues its service to people with developmental disabilities by sponsoring and volunteering for our annual Fun Fish Weekend – held every March. Many individual Civitans also help with our projects throughout the year.
