The Elks Clubs of Alabama have been tremendous contributors to Camp ASCCA for several years. On August 15, Elks members were once again working to contribute on camp’s behalf.
The Annual Duck Race is a fundraiser project hosted by the Elks Club of Alexander City and takes place at their beautiful lodge on the Tallapoosa River. I was able to represent camp this year by letting the participants know how much their help is appreciated. The money is raised by “having a duck in that race!” Ducks are $10 each and the race on the river is held late in the afternoon. The day’s events are filled with fun, food and friendship. If you missed it this time around, be sure to join in next year!
