When you come to Camp ASCCA, there are several things that you can do here. One of the favorites amongst the campers here at Camp is tubing. Tubing is put on by our aquatics staff, and it gives each camper the chance to be pulled on a tube with some of their best camp friends. I personally love tubing. It is something different that a lot of our campers do not get to do everyday, and for a lot of them, it is the first time they have ever gotten the chance to tube.
As much as I love being on the tube, I think I have found my new favorite thing about tubing, which is being on the boat that pulls the tube. As the boat pulls the campers on the tube nothing beats the priceless faces that the campers make as they ride on the tube across the water. Yesterday, I got to experience some of those faces as I rode along with our aquatics director as she drove the boat. The amount of smiles, and faces filled with laughter is something that I will look forward to next time I can ride on the boat.
Everyday at lunch, the program staff gives out awards called ASCCA Achievements to an individual who showed the most enthusiasm and positive energy at their rotation earlier that morning. Yesterday, the program staff who was in charge of tubing awarded Tim Dillard the ASCCA Achievement for tubing. Tim is a wonderful camper who always has a big smile on his face. Tim will be featured in a Camp ASCCA video soon, so be sure to keep a lookout for the video.
