In 1991, Camp ASCCA welcomed “The Pilot Queen,” a pontoon boat sponsored by the Alabama District Pilot International and the Pilot International Foundation. For years, The Pilot Queen provided campers with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful waters of Lake Martin and create countless memories on the water.
In 2003, the Alabama District Pilot International once again showed its support for Camp ASCCA by sponsoring repairs and renovations to The Pilot Queen, helping ensure that campers could continue enjoying boat rides for years to come.

Then, in 2010, The Pilot Queen underwent major renovations thanks again to the Alabama District Pilot International. A new 90 hp four-stroke engine was installed, along with new decking, carpet, railings, and electrical components. These updates gave the beloved boat a new life and allowed even more campers to experience the joy of being out on Lake Martin.
After almost 30 wonderful years of use, it was time for a new boat. In 2019, Camp ASCCA’s new tritoon pontoon boat, “The Floating Elk,” was sponsored by the Alabama Elks Association. The boat was made possible thanks to the generosity of many lodges, individual Elks, and the State Association.

Over the years, a tritoon pontoon boat became increasingly necessary as more campers began using heavier wheelchairs. The new boat allowed Camp ASCCA to safely carry more campers on each boat ride, with accessibility and safety remaining the top priority.
From The Pilot Queen to The Floating Elk, these boats represent so much more than transportation on Lake Martin. They have helped create decades of laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories for generations of Camp ASCCA campers.
