Summer Bonus Session 0 started off strong as campers arrived this afternoon! Many new and familiar smiles arrived at camp today to kick off the summer here at ASCCA. After orientation and training, the summer staff is eager to make this the best summer yet! Staff training concluded and everyone eagerly awaited to meet their campers.
As campers arrived, program staff assisted in unloading and checking-in campers. The joy that came across camper’s faces as their door opened to a staff member was like no other. This, as a first-time staff member, showed me that the impact ASCCA makes is truly one of a kind!
After campers were greeted at their cabins, they were able to set up their beds, meet their counselors, and bond with their cabin. Some campers drew with chalk; while others took a stroll around camp.
First-time camper Bethany, says she is “mostly looking forward to the zipline”, because she has never done it before. Along with the zipline, campers are in for many fun, new activities here at camp! We cannot wait for them to experience all Camp ASCCA has to offer!
