Today we had the exciting opportunity to visit with a few of Auburn University’s football players! After rest, campers were greeted by our surprise guests during snack time. We met with #27 Jarquez Hunter, #1 Jerrin Thompson, #21 Caleb Wooden, and Charles Kelly, the co-defensive coordinator. They gave autographs and high fives as they visited and took lots pictures with the campers. We were all thrilled to meet the players and have a chance to interact with them. Their visit brought big smiles and excitement to Camp, the players were incredible at taking time to chat with everyone, making each camper feel special.
In addition to the surprise meet and greet, the players also took a tour, played basketball with a couple of campers, and Jarquez even rode the giant swing! Their involvement in our activities made the day even more special. We hope to see them again this summer, and hope that they bring more players along next time. We are so grateful they took the time to come and see us. It was definitely an unforgettable experience that campers and staff will cherish.
