Today we experienced one of our hottest days yet. Our first full day of Session 7 was a fun one, and we had a ton of great things happening. This afternoon was scorching, and what better way to cool down than water activities?

We can hardly believe this tonight marks the last pool party of ASCCA 2019. This summer has flown by; however, we are excited for this week to get started! After dinner, campers headed to their activity of choice.
What a day! Session #6 is coming to a close and we wish we didn’t have to say goodbye to all of our new friends.
On Tuesday, Aug. 7, 60 members of the Alabama Elks Assocation visited Camp ASCCA for the annual Elks Day. To get the day started, Camp Administrator John Stephenson picked up members from the Alexander City Lodge while other members traveled in from around the state. The Elks have been supporting and serving Camp ASCCA for more than 15 years and there contributions can be seen all across the 230+ acres!
Dance night is always one of the best nights of the week. Tonight we held our second to last dance of the summer, and it was everything we could have asked for! Our dances are always the time of a lifetime, and tonight was no different!
Our week is well underway, and today had so many great things happening! Today there was so many great activities and moments happening all around camp! This afternoon during free choice, campers had the option of several different activities that they usually would not be able to do during rotations.

Each day at lunch, we give out ASCCA Achievements. These awards go out to campers that show particular interest, talent, or super helpful during our morning rotations! All of our campers are awesome, but some go above and beyond during activities. We like to recognize these camper’s hard work!
