ASCCA Summer 2019 Starts Off Strong!

Summer Bonus Session 0 started off strong as campers arrived this afternoon! Many new and familiar smiles arrived at camp today to kick off the summer here at ASCCA. After orientation and training, the summer staff is eager to make this the best summer yet! Staff training concluded and everyone eagerly awaited to meet their campers.

Meet Isabelle Owen, Camp ASCCA PR Intern

Hi everyone! My name is Isabelle Owen from Dothan, Alabama, and I am excited to be a part of Camp ASCCA’s Public Relations team this summer! I graduated in May from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in business. My studies also included a specialization in graphic design. As a recent graduate, I am excited to put these skills to use!

ASCCA Summer Staff Orientation 2019

Summer staff training looks a little different this year as new staff members arrived on Friday, June 21 for what will be a weekend-long training session. This is because the waiting list to attend a summer session has grown so much in the past couple years that Camp Director Matt Rickman decided to train the staff a few days early and replace the usual week of training with a short week of camp to relieve some of the spots on the waiting list.
