The weekend was full of challenging, outdoor activities for the Lakeshore Foundation’s event Operation Rise & Conquer. The visiting group was made up of injured military members from around the country taking on challenges that many of them did not think they would be able to do since their injury occurred. However, the ASCCA staff along with the Lakeshore staff reassured every person that where there is a will there is a way, and all of the weekend’s activities were adaptable for anyone interested in participating.
“There is no physical limit to human achievement,” is a quote that you will find on the home page of the Lakeshore Foundation’s website, and this weekend’s event, Operation Rise & Conquer, is proving just that.
The Lakeshore Foundation has arrived for a weekend of activities during the Lima Foxtrot’s “Operation Rise & Conquer.” Lima Foxtrot was designed to provide year-round, sport, and recreation programs for injured military, and this weekend we have a lineup of programs full of challenging and leisurely activities.

For the final day of the Drake Middle School field trips, students arrived this morning even more energized and enthusiastic for the adventures ahead. We could not have asked for better weather to welcome all the students, teachers, and parents to camp. Today’s group rotations were similar to the rotations that other groups have faced as our ASCCA staff helped students experience the zipline, waterslide, canoeing, and more.
