Today the Camp ASCCA family is saddened to learn about the passing of former Camp Mac Director, Bob Gene McBride.

On Saturday, the Dadeville First United Methodist Church held their second annual, church-wide family retreat here at Camp ASCCA. This year’s theme was “Headed for High Places,” and their day was filled with a time of worship, family fun, and recreational activities.
There’s no better way to end an ASCCA summer than a Thursday night talent show, and the Macon ARC group ended the week right. Last night as campers began to trickle into the Lions Lodge, the anticipation grew and the costumes were impressive. It was a night scheduled for performances to tunes by Elvis, Ronnie Millsap, Katy Perry, and more.
At the end of Week 7 each summer, a summer staff member who has shown endless hard work and resiliency is awarded the Judy Williams Scholarship. Last week, the 2016 recipient was announced, and Christian Thomason of Birmingham received this year’s Judy Williams Scholarship.
Each summer Macon ARC campers come ready to enjoy every activity, new and old, at Camp ASCCA. However, there is always one particular activity that draws the attention of many.
The Macon ARC crew has arrived, and they are ready to rock! Campers and counselors from Georgia arrived at lunchtime yesterday for a week of fun here at Camp ASCCA. We kicked the week off with a night of dancing the the oldies and a special visit from none other than Captain America.
Today was the start of a brand new adventure for me in a very familiar location. As the new Social Media Specialist here at Camp ASCCA, I will be responsible for providing you guys with fun, enjoyable content and updates year-round on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, the Camp ASCCA website, Youtube, and Flickr.
Another amazing summer at Camp ASCCA has come to an end. I always have a good time at ASCCA, but this summer was something special.
