Boating at Camp ASCCA

Many campers look forward to a nice relaxing pontoon boat ride on beautiful Lake Martin. This activity provides an opportunity to see the sights, get to know fellow campers and counselors, and enjoy the wonderful lake breezes. This morning several groups took to the high seas on the Camp ASCCA pontoon boat.

This pontoon boat is not your everyday boat. In fact, the whole interior was at one time completely gutted and replaced with removable benches, AstroTurf and a gate. This design allows seating for up to 13 campers. Additionally, because the benches are removable, many individuals who use wheelchairs can come aboard at the same time!
