This morning at Camp ASCCA activites were in full swing after breakfast. It has been another action packed day! Even though the campers didn’t get to enjoy the fireworks last night, they all alxiously awaited to see if mother nature would hold off to let them enjoy the pretty display in the night sky.
After rest period rumbles of thunder rolled across camp. Even though a storm was approaching the program staff stepped right in for our afternoon activites. Instead of getting to go swimming, fishing, riflery, or tubing the campers got to enjoy “celebrity egg drop”. All the campers split up by cabins and went to several different stations. While at the stations, campers participated in games to earn materials to create an egg drop for the group.
As the rain kept falling, campers made their way to the Camp ASCCA CARNIVAL! Campers got to play games, a “watermelon walk”, face painting and win some prizes. After the carnival was over and the rain had finally stopped, the campers got the big announcement they would get to see some fireworks tonight!
As fireworks lit up the night sky campers got to enjoy the time together and with all the staff. It was truly a show you wouldn’t want to miss. Don’t forget to keep checking back with our flickr site as I am uploading pictures throughout the day! 🙂
