Camp ASCCA Christmas Weekend 2015

It has been one amazing weekend at Camp ASCCA, full of Christmas magic! We started the weekend off with the lighting of the Christmas tree in the chapel. This wasn’t your average Christmas tree though, this tree was made entirely of Christmas lights and Camper of the Year, Cameron Tubbs had the honor of turning them on.

After lighting up the tree Cameron decided to lead the entire camp in Christmas carols before we all circled up for the Goodnight Song.

Saturday was packed full of Christmas fun with our first ever Jingle Jump (over $37,000 was raised), the Christmas carnival, steak dinner and we ended the night with local band Route 66 playing for the dance.
What a day! The carnival was held in the gym which was blacked out, decorated in glow-in-the-dark decorations and glow-in-the-dark games, such as putt-putt, bowling, fishing, face painting, tic-tac-toe, a cookie walk, etc. There was even Hot Chocolate!

Thats not all Santa and Mrs. Clause heard about our Christmas weekend and couldn’t help, but come visit our wonderful campers. So after everyone played games they received a special gift and got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas before heading to dinner.

We could not have done all of this without the help of Santa’s helpers. We cannot thank our volunteers enough for all of their time and donations not only for this special weekend, but for their constant support throughout the year. We are extremely grateful for all of you and we hope your Christmas is as Merry and BRIGHT as you have made ours this year.
