Every morning before breakfast we all gather at the flag pole for the flag-raising. Each morning a boys and girls cabin is in charge of raising the flag, reading a quote, and telling us the joke of the day.
This morning the girls from Moundville and the boys from Crow were in charge.
Mitch Crow and his counselor Jon Dollar raised our flag and the entire camp recited the pledge of allegiance.
The morning quote was read to us by Elizabeth McGlynn (aka Lizzie).
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
-Mahatma Gandhi
The joke of the day was given by the jokster himself, Jason Arnez.
Knock Knock.
Who’s there?
Gorilla.
Gorilla who?
Gorilla me a grilled cheese please, I’m hungry!
Flag-raising is a fun way to get the day started and encourages leadership. We are so proud of Moundville and Crow they did an Awesome job this morning.
Keep a look out for what happens at tomorrows flag-raising which will be lead by the boys and girls of Davis Lodge.
