With orientation week coming to an end fast, the program staff for this year’s camps is more than ready for campers. With a couple of a minor speed bumps trying to get in the way, the program staff kept pushing for greatness. Whether it be the adventure staff, the farm staff, or the aquatics staff, they are ready for camp. Let us take a look into some things that each group has been up to this week.
The grass is green, and the pond is filled with fish to catch. This years farm staff is ready for some campers. This week, our farm staff have been training so that they can teach our campers some fun activities such as archery, fishing, and even horseback riding. With our program staff trained, our campers will be surrounded by a safe and fun environment. Today, I had the chance to hang out with the farm staff and they taught me how to properly shoot a bow and arrow. Did I mention that we have the cutest piglet? Be sure to check him out while you are here.
Whether it is climbing up the Zip Tower or zipping across the pond, the adventure staff is ready for the campers to arrive. This week, the adventure staff has had important training sessions on how to properly handle anything that is apart of the adventure program. Today I had the chance to climb up the Zip Tower and then zipline down safely, but I would not have been able to do it safely if it was not for the adventure staff here at Camp ASCCA.
It is going to be a hot summer, and no one is more ready to fight off the sun than the Camp ASCCA aquatics staff. Anywhere from taking a dive into the pool, and going down our waterslide, the aquatics team is ready for it. This week the aquatics team has been training a lot on how to handle any situation that might come our way. Here at Camp ASCCA we take safety very seriously, so we make sure that our lifeguard staff is always on their toes and that they have been trained to handle any situation.
With Camp starting soon, be sure to keep up with us by following our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
