Camp ASCCA visits the new office of River Region United Way

Today, Administrator John Stephenson and Director of Marketing/Communications Dana Rickman traveled to Montgomery for the River Region United Way annual meeting. The day included a guest speaker, an awards presentation, and a special ribbon cutting of the United Way’s new office location. The River Region United Way announced their relocation last year, and thanks to the help of Regions Bank, they were able to purchase the building and will save more than $100,000 on lease payments over the next five years.

As one of the organization’s agencies, Camp ASCCA receives funds from the River Region United Way each year. Among many others, John and Dana were also joined by the administrator of Easterseals Central Alabama, Debbie Lynn (pictured above), and they are also a United Way agency of the River Region. Executive Director of Community Development Initiatives Alan Cross was the guest speaker for today’s meeting and was later followed by award presentations of this year’s Mathews-Altheimer-Smith Award and the Jean & Adolph “Bucks” Weil, Jr. Awards.

We congratulate the River Region United Way on the official opening of their new office and appreciate the continued support for Camp each year!
