Join us as we welcome Chris Pendergrass to the Camp ASCCA full-time staff! Chris has worked multiple summers and is now coming on as the full-time Outdoor Education Program Specialist. In this new position, Chris is primarily responsible for the care, maintenance, and supervision of the demo farm, archery, fishing, sports and games, and more.
Chris is from Huntsville, Alabama, and a graduate of Kenyon College, where he received a degree in Religious Studies.
Chris has been acquainted with Camp ASCCA since he was two years old! He first attended ASCCA with Camp Seale Harris as a camper. It was then that he became familiar with our programs and our mission.
Chris worked his first ASCCA summer in 2021 and since has worked in various roles like counselor, unit leader, and seasonal.
He is most looking forward to being able to get to know more of our campers in this new role.
Chris says, “Camp ASCCA to me is Heaven on Earth. That’s the only way I know to describe it to other people. It gives them an idea of what it’s like to be here. It’s truly beyond words.”
