Join us as we welcome John Hobbs to the Camp ASCCA full-time staff! John is coming on as the Aquatics Program Specialist. In this new position, John is primarily responsible for the care, maintenance, and supervision of the pool, waterslide, splash pad, tubing, and boating programs.
John is from Augusta, Georgia, and graduated from Columbus State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. John first heard about Camp ASCCA from a previous coworker who had also worked at Camp ASCCA years ago.
When thinking of this new experience, John is excited! There is the fear of the unknown and not knowing what to expect, but he’s eager to learn more and meet the people who make Camp ASCCA what it is! John hopes to further his job skills and gain confidence in a professional setting.
John says, “I’m excited to be in this position and create lifelong experiences for others and the opportunity to learn more about myself.”
Located in Alabama on Lake Martin, Camp ASCCA offers campers a wide variety of traditional recreational and educational activities with a unique design for accessibility.
