Join us as we welcome back Maggie Barnard to the Camp ASCCA staff! Maggie has worked multiple summers and is now coming on as the full-time Aquatics Program Specialist. In this new position, Maggie’s primarily responsible for the care, maintenance, and supervision of the pool, waterslide, splash pad, tubing, and boating programs.
Maggie is from Tupelo, Mississippi, and a graduate of The University of South Alabama with a degree in recreational therapy. Maggie grew up attending a user group that used Camp ASCCA facilities. She is no stranger to Camp.
Maggie has worked in various positions at Camp ASCCA since 2016. She has been a CIT, a lifeguard, seasonal staff member, and a med passer.
One of Maggie’s favorite things about Camp ASCCA are the people. The campers, staff, everyone who comes for the experience and to have a great time.
Maggie says, “I’m most excited creating moments for campers. They’ve created so many moments for me, and I’m excited to do the same.”
Located in Alabama on Lake Martin, Camp ASCCA offers campers a wide variety of traditional recreational and educational activities with a unique design for accessibility.
