Amber spent her first summer at ASCCA in 2000 as a 15 year old counselor in training from Clay County, AL.
Over her 9 years as a summer staff member she served as a counselor-in-training, counselor, Unit Leader, and Head Counselor. While in school at Jacksonville State University, Amber was offered the full-time position as Outdoor Adventure Director and has been a part of the full-time staff ever since.
Amber is currently the Program Director and CIT Director, and in those positions, she is responsible for Camp’s every day programming, activity schedules, registration for campers, each summer’s Counselors-In-Training and much more.
She says, “The campers make my job the best in the world. There are more hugs, smiles, and thank yous than I deserve, I’m thankful every day that I get to be a part of Camp ASCCA.”
Located in Alabama on Lake Martin, Camp ASCCA offers campers a wide variety of traditional recreational and educational activities with a unique design for accessibility.
