Meet Drew Thompson, also known as John Mayer, a spirited camper who’s been lighting up Camp ASCCA for many years. Drew’s favorite part of camp? The counselors. He says can’t get enough of their energy, dedication, and the fun they bring to every activity. Drew believes that everyone should come and experience the magic of Camp ASCCA for themselves.
Drew loves to channels his inner John Mayer. He’s a huge fan and tells us that he is in fact THE John Mayer. During camp activities he never fails to pretend to be the famous singer, serenading everyone with Mayer’s hits. It’s not just the music that makes his camp experience special; Drew has a soft spot for the adventure staff, especially Emily. He proudly declares that she’s his woman for good, and he wants everyone to know it.
Hailing from Mobile, Drew has made countless friends at Camp ASCCA, both fellow campers and the hardworking staff. He loves how the staff put so much effort into organizing activities and making sure everyone has a great time. The sense of community and love at camp is something Drew cherishes deeply. He says that all the campers feel like one big family, and the fun never stops.
