Carnivals, Cars, and Ice Cream Sundaes!

Today campers were given a few treats throughout the day to make it a special last Wednesday of camp.

Due to the rain afternoon activities were canceled, and instead program staff put on the Camp ASCCA Carnival. Campers were able to choose different stations to participate at, including corn hole, face painting and redneck golf. Also, during the carnival one of camp’s original 1976 counselors, Judy Williams, brought a Talladega Camaro to camp for campers to sit in and take pictures with. Campers had a great time sitting in the drivers seat and honking the horn.

After dinner camper’s got a sweet treat, ice cream sundaes! They were given the choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream and tons of toppings including different syrups and candies.

After some delicious ice cream there was a pajama movie party in the dining hall. Tonight’s feature presentation was Jack the Giant Slayer.

Be sure to check out pictures of all of today’s treats on Flickr!
