Earlier this week Administrator John, and Dana the Director of Marketing Communications, were able to sit down and enjoy lunch with some of the Elks in Birmingham. They met with Bessemer Elks Exalted Ruler (ER) Charles King and member Mike Thrasher, who is also a Camp ASCCA board member. Also present were ER Bill Thrasher, Toni Sue Thrasher, and Past ER Mickey Drinkard of the Roebuck Elks Lodge.
We were surprised to have received a donation of over $800 from the Roebuck Elks Lodge from their August “Practice” Smoke ‘N Stoke event. The official State Elks event will be held in October. Camp ASCCA also received an additional donation from the Anniston Elks Lodge. What a great day!
The Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, meet the needs of today’s veterans, and improve the quality of life. The Elks have a history of over 150 years and have been generously donating to Camp ASCCA for over 20 years.
We cannot say thank you enough! We are overwhelmed by the support that the Elks give us year after year. Words fall short trying to express our gratitude, but know that your generosity never goes unnoticed.
