Teen Week’s Counselor of the Week didn’t come as a shock to anyone.
Matt Sullivan has done a phenomal job with all of his campers and is always so positive with everyone. Matt is known around camp as Sulli and mirrors a lot of the same qualities as the Monster’s Inc. character who shares that name (besides being blue and furry or living in a monster world).
Sulli is a counselor for the first time this summer but has known about ASCCA for years because of the Bynum family. He is also an Auburn graduate.
Sulli wanted to work at camp for a life changing experience. Although he wanted to change the lives of campers who attend Camp ASCCA, he was even more hopeful that his life would forever be changed after working at camp.
Sulli’s favorite thing about camp is being with the campers. He says that all the different personalities of the campers missing together can make for some good laughs during the week. Sulli’s other favorites include Meatloaf Monday and the waterslide.
One of the most important things that Sulli has learned at camp has been patience he said.
