Last week’s counselor of the week was a guy who did a great job week after week with his camper’s but also flew under the radar.
Nick McMenamin is a senior finance major at the University of Alabama. He found out through his high school. During the summer Nick’s high school offers a philanthropy class and the class does some work at Camp ASCCA.
Nick wanted to work at camp because he thought it would be a good experience. Among his favorite things at Camp ASCCA are the friday breakfast cinnamon rolls and the waterslide (isn’t that everyone’s favorite activity?).
Although there are so many things to learn at camp Nick learned two very important things. Nick learned to appreciate everything that he has been blessed with and also that you can do anything if you want to bad enough.
Congratulations Nick and since he won during his last week at camp we hope to see him again next summer!
