Thirty-two special education class students from the three Dadeville schools participated in a day camp at Camp ASCCA on September 26th! The students enjoyed the accessible waterslide, the zipline, and miniature golf. After a picnic lunch the group also enjoyed some time in the gym as a group.
Coach Chris Tolbert, the adaptive physical education teacher for Tallapoosa County schools, was happy to have the chance to bring the students for a day of fun at Camp ASCCA and hopes to do it more in the future. Former Camp ASCCA summer staff member and current Dadeville High School special education teacher Lindsay Smith also helped coordinate the trip and joined in on the fun.
Twelve additional teachers and parent volunteers made the trip as well as 15 students involved with the Leadership class at the high school!
