Campers and counselors splashed into the first night of Session 7 with our last pool party of the summer! We usually split the pool parties up between the first two nights, but since there’s fewer campers this week, everyone got to enjoy a night at the pool with all their friends.
After dinner was over, everyone excitedly made their way to the pool and listened to Lifeguard Brett tell them all the pool safety rules! Other members of the Program Staff stood around various areas of the pool to help with transfers, wristband distribution for swim tests and general pool watching for safety purposes.
With floats, lifejackets and goggles in hand campers entered the pool ready to splash the night away! Counselors took turns floating around campers who primarily use manual or electric chairs for mobility and others joined in on various games of pool volleyball or basketball.
The pool parties are always everyone’s favorite. It’s a great preview for all the fun that’s to come and it gives the campers a chance to bond with their counselors and even make some new camp friends! We’re so excited to kick off Session 7 and can’t wait for you all to see all the fun that awaits.
