Camp ASCCA staff and campers attending “Camp Mobile Rotary” hosted Rotarians from throughout southern Alabama in District 6880 on Tuesday, July 31, 2013. Twenty-eight Rotarians representing 11 clubs visited on this day. The group toured Camp’s facilities and interacted with the campers and counselors.
During lunch, the group was welcomed by our Camp Director Matt Rickman who introduced members from each club. He also highlighted how important Rotary has been to Camp ASCCA since Camp’s inception, “You can’t walk around Camp and not see something that has been sponsored by Rotary. Many campers throughout the summer are sponsored by individual Rotarians and Rotary Clubs.”
Immediate Past District Governor Jim Golson also stood to express his thanks to Rotarians from across the District and spoke to the campers about how special Camp ASCCA is to Rotary.
