When speaking about his sister Audrey, Jason Storey said he “could go on forever.” Jason and his wife Amy began donating to Camp ASCCA in 2017 in memory of his sibling. Audrey passed away in November 1992 at the age of 23. According to Jason, “She suffered from many neurological and physical issues and was nonverbal.” He continued, “With that being said, she was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and never had a bad day. She was always happy!”
Jason and Amy gave several camperships from 2017-2020 and in 2021 he started monthly online giving to sponsor one camper a year! Again, this gift is to honor his late sister and to provide outdoor and recreational experiences he knows his sister would have enjoyed. Jason wants to make more people happy like his sister!
Jason and his family live just outside the Atlanta metro area and he works for his company full-time. He dedicates much of his time to his son and wife, but also volunteers on the Board of Directors at Griffin Area Resource Center. He went on to say, “It’s funny how life works out because I’m on the board of the organization where she [Audrey] attended school in the 1970s.” Jason found out about Camp ASCCA by browsing Facebook and discovering his old college friends Dana and Matt Rickman work there.
Thank you to Jason and his family for supporting people with disabilities with their monetary donations and through their time volunteering. It’s because of people like you who understand the importance of the Camp ASCCA Mission that we continue to operate successfully each year.
