Easterseals Camp ASCCA and the Robertsdale Rotary Club and Foundation have had a wonderful and beneficial relationship over the years. This relationship has strengthened further since 2016 because the Rotary Club has shown a great commitment to sponsoring MANY campers with disabilities from their area to attend summer camp. The Robertsdale Rotary Club has given over $86,000 since then. For this past summer, the group sponsored 18 campers!
The members of the Robertsdale Rotary Club have realized the importance of our mission, and we are forever grateful for their endeavors to continue assisting individuals with disabilities. Camp ASCCA has continued to thrive in its mission for 48 years, thanks to groups and foundations such as this one!
The Camp ASCCA mission is to help individuals with disabilities and/or health impairments achieve equality, dignity, and maximum independence. This is accomplished through a safe and quality camping program, therapeutic recreation, virtual programming, and education in a year-round barrier-free environment. Camp ASCCA is a state-wide organization serving over 130 people annually in the Mobile Bay area.
According to their Facebook page, the Robertsdale Rotary Club “Are community leaders, neighbors, and global citizens working together for the common good. With your help, we can accomplish even more.” The club was founded in 1948 and meets each Tuesday in Robertsdale at noon.
Please join us in saying thank you to these wonderful people!
