On October 4, I had the opportunity to be an exhibitor for the Alabama Down Syndrome Buddy Walk in Hoover. The goal of this walk was not only to increase awareness but to also provide participants and families with information about state resources. Camp ASCCA is always grateful to be included in this kind of area event because it gives us a chance to speak with families directly.
Several parents who were unaware of Camp’s services stopped at our display table wanting to hear more about this awesome place. We also were able to visit with a few old friends who love Camp ASCCA! In the photo is my caregiver, Shana, and camper Sam!
