Long time friend and supporter to Camp ASCCA, Dr. Mike Hall, enjoys few things more than his annual pilgrimage to camp! For more than a decade, Dr. Hall has incorporated camp into his curriculum for his UNA students. His Recreation for Special Populations class visits Camp every spring to volunteer, learn, and experience all that ASCCA offers.
For the last eight years, I have had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Hall’s class before or during their visit. Over the years, these meetings have become known as “fire side chats!” They are informal and candid in nature because our goal is to help the students learn to feel comfortable and to have fun with our campers. Dr. Hall invites several speakers to address different issues. I’m always grateful to be among them and enjoy my visits with the UNA students because of their eagerness to learn. Speaking with them each year is truly my pleasure!
