Easter Seals Alabama’s Annual Awards Luncheon

Let your light shine this holiday season…

Easter Seals employees, volunteers and consumers from all over the state gathered at Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery on December 4, 2012 for the annual awards luncheon.

Easter Seals Alabama (ESA) provides resources to children and adults with disabilities and special needs as well as their families. Easter Seals Alabama consists of nine community rehabilitation program sites and the world’s largest barrier free recreational camp, Camp ASCCA.

Randy Thomas, ESA Board Chair, welcomed the group and introduced the featured speaker, Mr. Chris Tiernan. Chris is a member of the Easter Seals Affiliate Services team and provides organizational consultation to all areas of operation to affiliates in the Southeast Region, West Region, and Texas. He spoke on three points: “Easter Seals yesterday, today, and tomorrow”.

Recognition was given in ten award categories and Camp ASCCA nominated three award winners! A Special Recognition Award was presented to the Alexander City Rotary Club for their outstanding fundraising efforts. The Club of the Year Award was given to the Alabama Elks Association for their great financial support. And a Gold Award was given to Rob Hunter for being a volunteer for Camp ASCCA and contributing in many significant ways.

We congratulate all of the winners, and are particularly proud of our nominated winners! Thank you!
