Easter Seals Alabama’s Day on the Hill

On March 10, 2011 Easter Seals Alabama celebrated their annual “Day on the Hill” at Alabama’s capitol in Montgomery.

Staff from Easter Seals’ 9 affiliates and the state office gathered at the Alabama State House building to talk to each senator and representive about the work of Easter Seals in Alabama and the importance of the relationship with Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services.

Camp ASCCA employees John Stephenson and Dana Rickman walked the halls to thank the senators, representatives, and their staff members for their support of Camp ASCCA and Easter Seals Alabama. Particularly important visits included those with Senator Tom Whatley and Representative Mark Tuggle. Camp ASCCA is located in their districts.

After the visits and recognition in the Senate and House galleries, the group convened on the steps of the Capitol Building for a photograph and meeting with Governor Robert Bentley.
