Last week was a bittersweet week here at Camp ASCCA, as a lot of our summer staff enjoyed their last week of Camp. For those of us who get to work this week, we are fortunate to spend another week at the best place on Earth. As Session 7 began yesterday, we all were in for a treat.
Last night Terry Padgett came to Camp to perform as Elvis on the Big Stage @ ASCCA. It was a wonderful night, and the best way to kick off another great week of Camp. Terry Padgett performed some of Elvis’s greatest hits, such as “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Hound Dog”. As Terry performed, the campers, staff, and guests of the concert danced and sang along to all of his songs. Some people knew every word to every song.
Terry Padgett looks like a perfect Elvis, but better yet, he performs like a perfect Elvis. Throughout his performance, Elvis would come out to the crowd to sing with some of our campers, and often times charming the ladies just like Elvis would do. We would like to send Terry and his crew a big Camp ASCCA thank you and hope to see him next year. I can not wait for our next concert here at the Big Stage.
