My job with Camp ASCCA consistently brings opportunities to learn something new and obviously meet new people. Through a friend, Nan Chambliss, with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and President of Extension Support Personnel Association, heard about me and was told I would be a good speaker for her upcoming event in Auburn. So, on May 11th, I spoke for this group for the first time.
Before this presentation, I knew very little about this organization. I learned about their involvement with community improvement projects as they learned about Camp ASCCA. The audience members seemed to enjoy my presentation and were very inquisitive afterwards. Several of them mentioned community members that may be interested in attending camp and couldn’t wait to relay the information!
