Hello again ASCCA friends!
It’s time for another Fall weekend here at Camp ASCCA!
First of all, I would like to say that I am thrilled to be back in the woods of Jackson’s Gap! And from the night we’ve had, I believe I can speak for the campers as well – everyone is already having a blast!
We began the night with the usual camp dinner and after dinner we headed to our nightly activity: a trip through the haunted trail in the ASCCA woods!
As we made our way through the dark, winding path lit with glow sticks, we encountered lots of scary creatures!
The headless horseman roamed the woods as screams echoed out from amongst the trees. Escaped convicts, witches, and mad scientists lurked deep in the woods begging for the campers’ attention. Everyone had the chance to touch a bunch of mushy brains and feel a bowl full of eyeballs! We even came upon a ghost looming over a gravesite!
Following the haunted trail, everyone met around the campfire to roast marshmellows and make smores. A perfect ending to a spooky night!
Needless to say, we are ready to celebrate Halloween this weekend!
Stay tuned for more details about our spooky encounters here at Camp ASCCA’a 2011 Fall Weekend!
